Power-pop duo Matt and Kim are all over tv in commercials (Bud light, I think) and seem to be all over music blogs as well. Definitely good to listen to if you wanna lift your spirits - their melodies inspire joyful energy and life. Anywayz. Here's a remix of Yeah Yeah by Flosstradamus.
Love the puppet.

Huoratron - $$ Troopers
YouTube Converters
Soooo. If you haven't heard of them already, there exist several free applications called YouTube converters that do what it sounds like they do: you plug in a YouTube link and it downloads the music from that video!! SO. What does that mean? It means that every time a video is posted on this site (or any other) (but I want the credit) it's basically a free song for you. YOU'RE WELCOME :) :P :) <3

Thunderheist - Jerk It
What do you think? Hahahaha... I like the song, anyway.
Lazy Wiki-copy-paste info:
"Thunderheist is an electronic music duo from Toronto and Montreal, Canada. Thunderheist is made up of producer Grahm Zilla (from Montreal) and MC Isis (from Toronto). The two began collaborating before they had ever met in person, sending MP3 files to each other over the Internet. They are currently signed to Big Dada. The group started in 2005 when Grahm accidentally sent Isis an mp3 track he was working on and she recorded a rap over it. They've received moderate popularity for their track "Jerk It" featured in the 2008 film The Wrestler."
This video was released as an entry for a video contest held by the band:
Here is THUNDERHEIST:
BY THE WAY. How often do bands put out promotional live performances without the crowd and with good sound quality? NOT OFTEN. And I like it.

Dragonette - The Boys
Here's a female take on "The Girls" by Calvin Harris. Now so much of a different take than just changing the gender. Still, it's a pretty fun remix and I just like knowing that there are two versions out there.
How the hell do you mis-spell lights?
Also, if you haven't heard the original Calvin Harris song:

Je me Barre - Keny Arkana
This is just one of my new favorite French rap songs.
Here's a little info about the artist:
"Born in Marseilles in December 1982 of Argentine heritage, Arkana began rapping in 1996, with her first texts at the age of 12. She formed the collectives Mars Patrie and later Etat-Major, gaining performance experience in the Marseilles underground scene, culminating in the 2003 release of Etat Major's first mixtape."
And here's a picture of Keny:

The Very Best (Esau Mwamwaya and Radioclit)
This album is fantastic. It's a collaboration between London-born Esau Mwamwaya and Radioclit. I'm not sure how I feel about the obvious western influence. I love the songs but I'm not sure what the intention of the album was...maybe I can find an interview with the producers. Check out some of the tracks below:

FEVER RAY
WHY DIDN'T I KNOW KARIN DREIJER ANDERSSON HAD A SIDE PROJECT? Well I guess I do now.
Fever Ray - When I Grow Up (What is that girl doing? I just want to hold her hand and tell her it's probably too cold!)
Fever Ray - Seven
Fever Ray - Triangle Walks (I can't believe this is an official video! When I see this I wonder if the person who made it was wearing 4 pairs of shades)
Fever Ray!:
Karin is looking very mysterious:

The Bird and the Bee - Love Letter to Japan
This is my favorite song of theirs. This is their official video for Love Letter to Japan.
Here they are reclining in a purple room:
Here is my favorite remix (though it is really long) of a Bird and the Bee song by Peaches (duhhhh):
